Matrara High Court has sentenced a 12 year rigorous imprisonment for a 30 year old resident of Urubokke area over sexually assaulting a 10 year old girl in 2009.The Matara High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte has ordered the accused to pay Rs.150,000 as compensation to the girl who faced the incident and stated that if he is not been able to do so will face an extra 2 year jail term .
