A female was killed on the spot and a Three Wheeler
driver had been critically injured and hospitalized after a tree falling down on a Three Wheeler they were travelling in at Saint Clare area in Thalawakele today (29).
The injured Three Wheeler driver has been admitted to the lindula hospital for treatment.
The deceased had been identified as a teacher resided in Kotagala area.
The tree had fallen due to the heavy showers and strong winds prevailing in the area and a heavy traffic prevailed in Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main road as a result.
