As all of the major hospitals in the Country are over crowded with Dengue and other fever patients ,Government Hospital Laboratories have taken steps to issue Full Blood Count(FBC) and Dengue Antigen/Antibody test reports of Dengue Patients within 30 minutes as per the instructions given by Health Ministry with effect from today(19).
The prices of Full Blood Count and Dengue Antigen/Antibody Tests performed in Private Hospitals and Laboratories too reduced with effect from today and accordingly Private Sector should charge Rs.250 for a Full Blood Count test and Rs.1000 for a Antigen/Antibody Test according to the Health Ministry.
Meanwhile Sri Lanka Society For Medical Laboratory Science has informed the President Maithripala Sirisena that the Society will take action to issue reports of the above mentioned tests of Dengue Patients within 30 minutes with effect from tomorrow(20).
