The Police Constable attached to the Mirihana Police who was arrested over the firing of a gunshot at a Name Board of the United National Party's(UNP) Headquarters at "Sirikotha"in Pitakotte Yesterday(01) has been remanded until 15th of May by the Nugegoda Magistrate today(02).The Suspected Police Constable was remanded after being produced before the court.
The Nugegeoda Magistrate has ordered the prison authorities to produce the suspect before a Psychiatrist and obtain a medical certificate on his mental status and submit the report to the Court.
