Several equipment worth millions of rupees in a Shop in Kahawatte area had been completely destroyed due to a fire erupted in the Shop this morning(23).
The building where the shop was located also damaged due to the incident according to the Kahawatte Police.
The Police along with the residents of the area have control the fire in initial stage and the fire brigade of the Rathnapura Urban Council arrived in the scene and doused the fire completely.
No casualties have been reported due to the incident as there's no one inside the Shop at the time of the incident.The cause for the fire has not yet been revealed.
