The Male to female ratio in Sri Lanka at present is 93.1 males per 100 females according to the Sri Lanka family planning association.
The ratio is due to decline further it is estimated that by the year 2022 the ratio will be 92.2 males per 100 females.
The female population in Sri Lanka is on the increase and the male population is decreasing since 1981 due to numerous factors it has been revealed.
In the year 1981 male to female ratio in the country stands as 104 males per 100 females and since then the female population exceeds the male population an experts have stated during a Media Workshop held today(22) at the Sri Lanka family planning association office in Colombo.
