Although President Maithripala Sirisena has assured when he came to power that Executive Presidency will be abolished his government's Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawake has today(20) stated Executive Presidency should not be abolished .The Minister has made these remarks at the launching ceremony of his book titled "Warning an economic crisis is ahead held this evening in Colombo.
President Sirisena who came to power last year by promising to abolish Executive Presidency fully has already cut several powers vested to the Presidency.
