Around 1771 premises throughout the island had been issued notices and legal cases were filed against another 392 premises for maintaining dengue mosquito breeding places during the three day special Dengue Mosquito Control Program me implemented between 16-18th of June according to the Ministry Of Health Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine .During the Programme Tri Forces /Police Personal along with Health Officials carried out house to house inspection throughout the island and checked around 41,000 premises the Ministry has stated.
However most of the By Roads were not covered during the programme according to sources.
