Police have closed down the Lotus Road in Colombo this noon to prevent a protest march organized by Three Wheeler Union walking towards the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo Fort.Due to the Protest March which began from Nelum Pokuna Theater at Town Hall a heavy traffic has been reported from Town Hall area.
The protest march conducted to oppose the increasing of minimum traffic violations fine to Rs.2500 through the budget is heading towards the Presidential Secretariat as the organizers planning to hand over a petition regarding their demand to the Secretariat.
