Sri Lanka Customs Officers have today(22) recovered 904 cartons contains stocks of Aprons and Gloves with printed images of Lord Buddha at a Ware House BQ-4 in Colombo Harbor.These containers contains Aprons and Gloves with images of Lord Buddha are arrived in Colombo Harbor from tuticorin in India and due to transport them to Slovania according to Customs Officers.
Printing the image of a Religious Leader in a consumer good is against the law and a legal action can be taken against the persons who are responsible for this act the Customs media spokesman Dharmasena Kahandawa has stated.
