Colombo High Court has today(10) granted bail for three suspects including the former MP and the owner of Mawubima/Ceylon Today Newspapers Tiran Alles over misappropriating public funds from RADA Fund in 2006.Accordingly the three suspects were released on cash bails of Rs.500,000 each and personal bails of Rs.2.5 million each by the Colombo High Court Judge Sarojani Kusala Weerawardena.
Earlier last week Colombo High Court has ordered to remand all three suspects over misappropriating public funds received to build Tsunami Houses through RADA Fund in 2006.However Court Of Appeal last Tuesday(08)ordered to release the three suspects after considering the revision petition filed by former MP Tiran Alles against the imprisonment .
