Sri Lanka Navy Personal have arrested nine local fishermen while engaging in illegal fishing activities in the seas off Pulmudai (In Eastern Province).
Navy Personal had also taken into custody a banned fishing net and two Dinghi boats along with the fishermen it has been reported.
The fishermen and the equipment were handed over to the Kuchchaweli Police Station for further investigations the Navy had stated,
