The main accused of the murder case of former MP and Presidential Adviser Bharatha Lakashman Premachandre and three of his associates, former MP Duminda Silva who was sentenced to death has today(22) filed an appeal at the Supreme Court requesting to lift his sentence and release.
A Lawyer of former MP Duminda Silva has filed the appeal on behalf of him at the Registrar Office in Colombo High Court this evening.
Last Tuesday(20) three of the other accused who were sentenced to death over the shooting and murder of former UPFA MP and Presidential Adviser Bharatha Laksman Premachandre and three others , Chaminda Ravi Jayanath,Anura Thushara De Mel and D.M Sarath Bandara had been filed appeals against their sentences.
