The former Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) Anura Senananyake and former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera who were arrested and remanded over the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen have been further remanded today(07) until 21st of September by the Colombo Magistrate Court.
The suspects are being produced before the Colombo Magistrate today.
When the case was taken up today for hearing the State Attorney has stated that the report on CCTV Footage sent to Canada for examine the murder of Thajudeen has been received and according to it the footage is not clear.
The State Attorney has also informed the court that the phone calls made to and from the President's House on the day of the murder are also being investigated.
