Air Port Customs Officers had yesterday(28) arrested a 30 year old Chinese female at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Air Port while attempting to smuggle a stock of Gems worth more than Rs.1.1 million out of the country illegally it has been reported.The suspected female had arrived in the Katunayake Air Port yesterday nigh to board a flight to Hong Kong according to the Customs Officers.
Customs Officers had also taken into custody few gem detecting equipment while in possession of the suspected female.
