The Supreme Court has today (12) dismissed a petition filed by a lawyer requesting to suspend the Duty Free Vehicle Permit Scheme implemented for Parliamentarians, without proceeding it.
Attorney At Law Nagananda Kodithuwakku has filed the petition by stating issuing of duty free vehicle permits to parliamentarians is against the law and a waste of a large amount of public funds.
However by stating that there were so many shortcomings in the petition the supreme court has dismissed it without proceeding.
