Kabithigollawa(North Central Provincez) Magistrate has today (25) remanded the female cashier of the Samurdhi Development Bank in Kabithigollawa until 09th of September over misappropriation of more than Rs.3.8 million belonging to the bank.Investigations carried out by the Kebithigollawa Police had revealed that the imprisoned female cashier had misappropriated the money belonging to the samurdhi development bank in kabithigollawa by creating bank accounts under the names of several persons by using fake account numbers since 2014.
The female cashier was remanded after being produced before Kabithigollawa Magistrate Court today.Police had informed the court that it has been revealed a few workers of the above mentioned samurdhi bank also involved in the fraud.
The magistrate has ordered the police to detained other bank workers who involved in the fraud and produce them to the court.
