The former secretary of the Ministry Of Finance P.B Jayasundera has today(29) questioned by the Presidential Commission Of Inquiry(PRECIFAC) and recorded a statement from him regarding the on going investigations on importing of 100,000 metric tonnes of Rice in 2014 without Cabinet Approval.The former Finance Ministry Secretary has been alleged as purchasing the above mentioned shipment of Rice from an Indian Company without getting Cabinet Approval.Due to this Sri Lankan Government had incurred a loss of Rs.5 billion according to the Presidential Commission.
