The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has recorded a statement today(29) from the former Inspector General Of Police(IGP) Dr.Mahinda Balasuriya regarding the assassination of the former Editor of Sunday Leader Newspaper Lasantha Wikramathunge .The former IGP who is also the former secretary of Ministry Of Law and Order has arrived at CID Headquarters in Colombo this morning per the request made by the CID.
Earlier An Army Personal has detained over threatening the driver of the assassinated former Editor Of Sunday Leader newspaper.
