Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has today(04)stated that the VAT (Value Added Tax) increase implemented by the government recently is a temporary measure.Government's aim is to get tax money from those who can pay them and not from the underprivileged people in the country the finance minister has stated.
The new projects like expressway in Kandy,elevated bridge in Rajagiriya and Moratuwa Bridge will be started in couple of weeks time and would like to call upon people in the country to assist the government in view of have a rapid development in the country Minister Karunanayake has further added.
