The former additional magistrate in Colombo Thilina Gamage who is charged for keeping a baby elephant in his possession without a valid license has today(02) surrendered to the gangodawila magistrate's court regarding the charges.He was later released on bail .
The former Colombo additional magistrate has been sent on compulsory leave regarding the charges against him on keeping a baby elephant in possession without a valid licensee.
There's an ongoing investigation on the case against former additional magistrate gamage and he is also due to appear before Criminal Investigations Department(CID) to give a statement regarding the charges.
