The Parliamentary Proceedings held today (03) was adjourned after few hours due to a tense situation occurred at a house following a brawl between a group of government and opposition MP's.As a result of the brawl the Kegalle District MP of governing United National Party(UNP) Sandith Samarasinghe got injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital it has been reported.
The brawl has occurred when the Minister of Regional Development Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has made a statement regarding the withdrawal of Army Personal from former president Mahinda Rajapaksha and replace with special task force officers.During Field Marshal Fonseka's speech several joint opposition MP's have raised objections followed by brawl.
Due to the tense situation speaker Karu Jayasuriya adjourned Parliament till tomorrow and requested a report from deputy speaker and the deputy chairman of committees regarding the tense situation in Parliament.The speaker has informed the Parliament that an action will be taken against MP's who involved in the brawl,
