Navy Have Detained Six Local Fishermen Regarding Illegally Harvesting Sea Cucumbers From The Seas Of Eastern Chalai

The Navy Officers have detained six local fishermen involved in harvesting sea cucumbers illegally from the seas of Eastern Chalai (North Eastern Province)according to reports.

During the raid the Navy Officers have taken into custody 150 Sea Cucumbers,Two Fiber Glass Dinghies,four pairs of diving fins, four diving masks and twenty oxygen cylinders .

The detained local fishermen along with equipment were handed over to the Mulathivu Police for further investigations.
