The former minister of external affairs Professor G.L Pieris has today(02) given a statement to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) regarding the comments he has made on recent recovery of suicide jacket and explosives at Chavakachcheri Area.Professor Pieris has claimed during a press briefing held in Colombo that the recovered suicide jacket and explosives are due to be brought to Wellawatta for a high profile attack.
However the Police believed the recovered items from a house at Chavakachcheri had been hidden by LTTE during the war period.
