The Constitutional Council has today(18) nominated the Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) in charge of Western Province Pujitha Jayasundara for the vacant post of Inspector General Of Police (IGP).The majority of members belonging to Constitutional Council which met this evening at Parliamentary Premises has decided to nominate Senior DIG Pujitha Jayasundara for the IGP Post and sent their decision to President Maithripala Sirisena it has been reported.
All the three Senior DIG's proposed for the IGP post were present during today's Constitutional Council meeting.
