The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris has today (29) issued an interim court order preventing the leaders of Joint Opposition Group( A Group of MP's supporting former president Mahinda Rajapakshe in the Parliament) and Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB) from entering Shalika Grounds in Narahenpita(Colombo) for 14 days with effect from today(29).The May Day Rally of the Joint Opposition Group is scheduled to be commenced at Shalika Grounds and at Kirulapona Grounds on 01st Of May(Sunday).
The Colombo Additional Magistrate has issued the court order according to the request made by Narahenpita Police by stating that there's a threat of breaking peace due to the unauthorized May Day Rally due to be commenced by Joint Opposition Group at Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita.
