There's no threat to the Security of Sri Lanka at the moment but only an increase in the crime rate reported from some parts of the country due to personal conflicts according to Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekere.Most of these Crime Incidents reported from Western and Southern Provinces and due this the security in those provinces has tightened Police Spokesman has said.
During past few weeks several shooting incidents had reported mainly from Western and Southern Provinces in the Island and few people were killed due to these shootings it has been reported.
The Department Of Police have already launched a massive island wide search operation in view of eradicating underworld gangs believed to be involved in these shootings.
