Sri Lanka Customs Have Arrested A Chinese National At Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port With A Stock Of Expensive Walla Patta

Sri Lanka Customs Officers have arrested a Chinese National at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port today(26) with 25 Kilo Grammes of an expensive "Walla Patta" known as Gyrinops Walla in his possession.

The detained Stock Of Walla Patta is estimated as worth Rs.5 Million it has been reported.

The 37 year old Suspect who is  possessed Sri Lankan Citizenship was fined Rs.25,000 by Sri Lankan Customs and the stock of Walla Patta was confiscated.

Walla Patta produced a substance called Agarwood which is using to produce expensive perfumes.

The transportation or possession of  the wall patta plant which grows in certain  parts of the country  strictly prohibited.
