Attorneys representing imprisoned son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe, Yoshitha Rajapakshe and four others who are in remand on money laundering charges had filed a Fundamental Rights(FR) Petitions at Supreme Court today(01) against arrests and detention of their clients.
The Fundamental Rights Petitions have named Inspector General Of Police and Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division as respondents and petitions claims that behind the arrests of accused there was no basis and fundamental rights of them have been violated due to the arrests and detention.
