A Pregnant Mother was critically injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital due to a Gun Shooting incident occurred in front of Welikada Prison in Borella(In Colombo District) this evening.The 23 year old injured Pregnant Mother who had visited a Prison Inmate at Welikada Prison got injured due to a gun shooting occurred around 3.50 p.m this evening which Police believe will be a work of an Underworld Gang.
The Injured is currently receiving treatment at Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital according to Welikada Police.
Welikada Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
