The imprisoned Former Chief Minister of Eastern Province Sivanasathurai Chandrakanthan allias Pillayan who had been arrested and remanded over the murder of Ex- MP Joseph Pararajasingham has been further remanded yesterday(10) until 24th of February.The former chief minister Pillayan has been remanded further over the killing after being produced before Batticloe Magistrate Court yesterday.
The suspect has been arrested after he arrived at the Criminal Investigations Division(CID) to give a statement regarding the murder of Ex MP Pararajasinghan.
