The former Assistant Superintendent Of Police(ASP) of Embilipitiya Police Division D.W.C Dharamaratne who has been arrested yesterday(02) has been remanded until 17th of February after being produced before Embilipitiya Magistrate Court this morning.The former ASP has been arrested by Criminal Investigations Department(CID) per the instructions of Embilipitiya Magistrate in connection with the death of a youth who died after falling down from an up stair of a party house in Embilipitiya on 04th of January.
The Embilipitiya Magistrate has also instructed the Police to arrest and produce the Embilipitiya Headquarters Inspector(HQI) S.R.J Dias regarding the death of the youth.
