Colombo Chief Magistrate Has Acquitted Former Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranaike From A Case Filed By Bribery Commission

The Colombo Magistrate Court has today(19) acquitted   the Former Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranaike from the case filed by Bribery Commission over a failure to declare her assets and liabilities accurately .

The Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya  has acquitted  the Former Chief Justice over the charge after Bribery Commission has decided to withdraw the charge sheet against her.

After releasing from the charge The Colombo Chief Magistrate has also ordered to lifting  the ban imposed on former chief justice Shirani Bandaranayake   from travelling abroad and to release her passport.
