Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 21 local fishermen along with 6 Boats they were travelling in while illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters of Norochchalai And Udappuwa Sea Areas by using banned nets.The Navy have also arrested Two Pairs of Diving fins ,A two hand GPS and a Diving Goggle in possession of the arrested local fishermen.
The arrested fishermen and their equipment were handed over to the Assistant Director Of Fisheries in Puttalam(In North Western Province) for an investigation on the incident.
