The Ministry Of Education has today(07)interdicted the Principle of one of the leading Private Schools in Kandy ,Kingswood College for collecting money from parents enrolling Grade 1-Students for the year 2016.The audit carried out by the Ministry Of Education has revealed the principle had collected a Sum of Rs.3,625,000 by stating it was for a construction of a new building in the school by violating regulations.According to the government regulations ,collecting money for enrolling students for a school has been strictly prohibited.
The Principle of the Kingswood College had collected a sum of Rs.50,000 each from 65 individuals the audit carried out by the Ministry has revealed.
