A Special Gazette Notification is due to issue with effect from 01st of January next year(2016) regarding the minimizing of using Polythene within the country according to President Maithripala Sirisene.The Gazette Notification is due to issue after considering the effects caused to the environment by using polythene President has said.
Although the Government has earlier appealed to the Public the need for minimizing the using of Polythene it didn't work as expected he has stressed.
