Six Suspects including the Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG)Of Police Vaas Gunawardene and his Son Ravindu have been sentenced to death today(27) by the Colombo High Court Trial At Bar after being found guilty for abducting and murder of Local Businessman Mohomad Shiyam. The verdict of the case was delivered by the Colombo High Court Trial At Bar comprising Judges Lalith Jayasuriye,Amendra Seneviratne and Kusala Sarojani Weerawardena .
Out of the Five of the Six Suspects sentenced to death today over the abduction and murder of Businessman Shiyam are Police Officers.
Businessman Mohomad Shiyam was abducted and murdered at Dompe (In Western Province) Area on 22nd Of May.
