A Group of Opposition MP'S have yesterday(27) handed over a no confidence motion against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake to the Parliamentary Speaker Karu Jayasuriya with Signatures of 44 MP'S .The Opposition Members belonging to United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) have decided to bring a No Confidence Motion against Finance Minister by claiming the Minister has mislead the Parliament by stating around 5.6 % from Gross Domestic Product has been allocated for Education through the 2016-Annual Budget.
Meanwhile Finance Minister Karunanayake has told earlier that he will not afraid to face the No Confidence Motion and those who are behind this move have done so due to lost their perks through the budget presented by him.
