The UNAIDS(United Nations Aids Programme ) Office in Colombo in collaboration with Beetle Car Owners Club Of Sri Lanka are planning to commemorate this year's World AIDS Day on 01st Of December with an estimated two hour drive starting from Independence Square and ending up at Galle Face Grounds in Colombo by displaying messages on HIV/AIDS in front of Beetle Cars to make awareness amongst public on the disease.Around 50 Beetle Cars courtesy of the Beetle Club Members will be participating the drive according to UNAIDS Office in Colombo.
The aim of this drive is to strengthening the National HIV Response by educating the Public on the importance of main theme of this years World Aids Day -"Test Today" according to Country Manager of the UNAIDS Office in Sri Lanka Dr.Dayanath Ranathunge.
