Several Areas in Matara District (In Southern Province) had submerged due to the overflowing of River Nilwala caused by heavy showers currently prevails in the District.Panadugama,Maragoda,Porathota and Agalakada Areas in the Matara District have been reported as flooded at present according to sources.
Due to the submergence of Roads in these flooded areas transport too has got disrupted sources have added.
