The Colombo High Court has today(14) passed the death sentence for Samanatha Kumara Vithanage alias Wele Suda who was arrested and remanded over several large scale drug deals he had with higher rank politicians of the country ,for possession of 7.05 Grammes of Heroin.Wele Suda who is known as drug kingpin was arrested in Pakistan and brought back to Sri Lanka early this year.Police have held him under three month detention order to question and find out how he managed to carry out drug related operations.
