A Sri Lankan National who tried to smuggle 24 Gold Biscuits worth Rs.12 million to the country was arrested by Sri Lanka Airport Custom Officers this morning at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port.The 40 year old suspect who had arrived Sri Lanka around 5.55 a.m this morning from Mumbai,India was arrested on an information given by Captain of the flight he has arrived in.
The 20 Gold Biscuits weighing around 2400 Grammes were concealed inside his hand luggage according to the Custom Officers.The suspect along with the stock of Gold Biscuits handed over to the Central Investigations Unit for further investigations custom officers have said.
