The Supreme Court has today(24) dismissed a fundamental rights petition filed by imprisoned former MP of United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) Sajin Vaas Gunawardene challenging his arrest and imprisonment .The former MP who was not received nomination from his party UPFA to contest in the forthcoming election ,was arrested by Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division over an allegation leveled against him on misusing 22 official vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat during the previous government.
