The former first lady Shiranthi Rajapakshe who was summoned today(01) by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division has stated that state funds were not used in running 'Siriliya Saviya" Charity Organization chaired by her.She was asked to appear before the Division this morning to record a statement regarding the allegation leveled against her on controversial transactions of several bank accounts belonging to the said charity organization.The statement of Former first lady is due to be recorded at Financial Crimes Investigations Division building at 9.30 a.m but due to the security reasons she was asked to come to another place to give the statement.A group of people has seen gathered in front of the investigations division building this morning to support Mrs.Rajapakshe.
During the questioning the former first lady has said that her charity organization received money through local and foreign donations and all the money has spent in transparent manner.
