The death toll due to floods risen to 20 today as most of the victims were reported from the Gampaha District.Still the Roads and Houses are under water in the district as well as most parts of the island as Heavy showers continues since last night.Several Displaced centres are set up for the Displaced people almost every flood affected area and government distributed the food and medicine to the needy.
Meanwhile Government has decided to remove all the unauthorized buildings as it caused the floods in most parts of the western province including the capital colombo
