Venerable Dambara Amila Thero who was arrested by the CID on Sunday was remanded till 08th of January by the Court today.He was arrested on charges of allegedly taking Money from people to send Manpower abroad which the Opposition Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna accused the arresting of Thero as a Government act of taking revenge from him.
Ven.Dambara Amila Thero was announced few days ago that the National Bhikku Front under the leadership of him will support the Common Presidential Candidate General Sarath Fonseka in the forthcoming Presidential Elections.
