Estate Workers To Continue Their Trade Union Action

The Trade Union Action of the Estate Workers continues as the talks between the Trade Unions and Ceylon Employers Federation failed again today over increasing the Wages of the Workers.

The Trade Unions representing Estate Workers demanding a Rs.500 Daily Payment for a Worker but the Employers Federation only agreed to offer Rs.375 Daily Payment.The Trade Union Action effected the Sri Lankan Tea Industry heavily.Trade Unions are now hold talks to expand their Trade Union Action.
