Sri Lanka canceled 200 Million Dollars worth purchase of Ammunition from Pakistan and China after the end of it's war with LTTE Terrorists New Chief Of Defence Staff and former Army Commander General Sarath Fonseka says today.The Order would have been enough Ammunition to fire guns and heavy weapons at the rate seen during the climax of the War which ended on 18th of May he stressed.He made these remarks at his Swearing-in Ceremony as the New Chief of Defence Staff today.
General Fonseka also said that around 800 members of the breakaway Tiger Group joined the Armed Forces.
