Seventy Two Prison Inmates At Welikada Prison Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Seventy two prison inmates at Welikada prison including the wife of major suspect of the Easter sunday Bomb attack Saharan Hashim had been infected with Corona virus it had been revealed .

Accordingly 63 female prison inmates ,08 male inmates and a prison officer attached to Welikada prison had been tested positive for corona virus so far. 

All these positives had been admitted to Welikanda Treatment center for treatment .

562 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (08)

 A total of  562 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals today (08)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .

Upto now 8285 Corona positives had been discharged from government hospitals 

510 Corona Positives Reported Today (08)

 A total of 510 Corona positives had been reported today (08) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 13,929 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Majority of the Corona positives reported today were close contacts of the Paliyagoda fish market cluster it has been revealed .

Accordingly the Total number of Corona positives identified that related to Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda fish market clusters were 10,447 .

At the moment 5609 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals .
