A Person WAS Arrested While Selling Liquor For Higher Prices On Poya Day

Vavuniya Police have arrested a person
who sold Beer and locally made Arrack for higher prices on poya day yesterday (25) although  the selling of Liquor on poya  days is  strictly prohibited in the country at Maharambakulama in Vavuniya last noon.

The suspect who.is a resident of Maharambakulama area was arrested with 48 Beer cans  and 5 Arrack Bottles in his possession according to the Police.He had sold liquor for higher prices since long time on the pretext of maintaining a hotel in the area it has been revealed.

The suspect is due to be produced  before the Vavuniya Magistrate Court. 

A Crocodile Threat In Some Wet And Marshy Lands In Colombo

Wild life experts have warned that the People in Colombo should be vigilant over Crocodiles who can be seen   in some Wet and Marshy Lands in Colombo .

At present Crocodiles have been detected at Diyawanna Oya (River)Weras River-Bellanwila and Attidya Marshy Land according to  the Experts.

As there is an enviornment created  at  these Wet and Marshy Lands to breed Crocodiles ,Authorities are currently using Security fences to minimise the dangers of these Crocodiles to the masses  in relevant areas it has been revealed.


A Person Was Killed And Two Others Injured Due To A Three Wheeler -Train Collision

A person was killed and two others
were injured and hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in colliding in with a night mail Train travelling from Madawachchiya to Colombo Fort near Thelangapatha railway crossing at Kelaniya this morning  (26)..

The incident occurred when the Three Wheeler had  attempted to across the Railway line it has been revealed.

The body of the deceased had brought to Maradana Railway station.

However there's no delay of train services  at the Railway line due to the incident The Railway main control room has announced.
